The oldest and original community group, the Alex Surf Lifesaving Club was founded in 1924 and is one of the strongest clubs in the surf life saving movement with a proud and successful history in both lifesaving and competition.

Alexandra Headland Malibu Club
Formed in the early winter of 1982, the Alex Mal Club conducted the first modern longboard surfing event in Australia. They continue to conduct monthly events at The Bluff for open, women and juniors – the highlight being the Winter Longboard Classic on the Queens Birthday weekend.

Northshore Board Riders
Affiliated with Surfing Queensland and Surfing Australia this club has been conducting competitions throughout the Sunshine Coast for the past 42 years. With a particular interest in Grommets, Novices, Cadets and Juniors, they are often seen conducting competitions on Alex beaches.

Suncity Ten Pin Bowling Team
Operating out of Sun City Bowl in Mari Street, this team travels to represent Suncity at regional and state competitions.
