Alexandra Headland is a unique triangular coastal village situated on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba.

Its main attraction is a magnificent 1.8 km coastal frontage of superb surf breaks and a patrolled swimming beach, complemented by a rocky headland, walks and parks.

Often called Alex Heads (there is only one headland), it’s better known to locals as simply “Alex”.

The triangle of streets climbs towards Cathedral Hill, providing magnificent views to the north for residents, all within walking distance of the beach.

The 2011 Australian Census revealed that  3717 people were registered in Alexandra Headland. Spread throughout 762 family dwellings, Alex has a pretty evenly distributed population with the largest group being in the 25-54 year age range.

That same census recorded some 1400 visitors spread among our 25 accommodation properties and homes – so it is no surprise that tourism is our major industry.

Alex a wonderful place to live, and visitors are always welcome.
