The Sunshine Coast will come alive over the first weekend of summer as Alex hosts the Shaw and Partners Hayden Kenny Classic, the opening round of the 2025/26 World Ocean Series.

Presented by Shaw and Partners Financial Services, Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast, this premier surf event brings together Australia’s and the world’s fittest surf athletes for a thrilling weekend of racing.

Celebrating the life and legacy of surf lifesaving legend Hayden Kenny, the event is open to all competitors and promises huge energy both on and off the beach. Spectators can enjoy live music, beachfront marquees and great food while cheering on the Alex Surf Club athletes as they fight to defend their World Ocean Series spots.
