Sunshine Coast Council is inviting community feedback on three new active transport projects that aim to make it easier and safer for people to walk, ride and scoot around Alex and the wider region.
If you live, work or travel through Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Alexandra Headland, Mountain Creek or Sippy Downs, this is your chance to have a say on the future of walking and riding links in your area.
The projects open for feedback are:
Maroochydore City Centre to Alexandra Headland Active Transport Link (provide feedback on issues and opportunities in the study area provided, before the project commences)
River Esplanade, Mooloolaba Active Transport Link (provide feedback on two concept designs developed for this link)
Mooloolaba to University Active Transport Corridor (provide feedback on concept designs developed for Stages 1, 2, 3 and 6)
Community consultation is open from Monday, 3 November to 5pm Friday, 28 November 2025.
We encourage you to share your feedback by visiting the Sunshine Coast Active Transport Hub | Have your Say Sunshine Coast (this page contains links to all three projects).
These projects are part of Council’s commitment to creating a connected, inclusive and accessible active transport network that supports walking, riding and wheeling for people of all ages and abilities.
