Through the main Committee, the AHCA have been working to support community and cultural events within Alex.
Christmas in Alex is presented in partnership with The Alex Surf Club and local businesses each year. This happy family event has been running since 2012 and we are currently planning it for 2015.
In 2012, Opera in The Park was presented in Nelson Park by the Sunshine Coast Council.
Other event suggestions have been put forward including
- An Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition on the Headland
- A “re-claim the Street” Party
- Markets by the Beach
We are also planning to hold an Open Air cinema in 2015.
